Cinéfila y creadora visual. Desde muy temprana edad se enamora del cine, devorando películas en teatros y cineclubes. Se ha formado como realizadora a través de cursos, talleres y diplomados. Amante del cine de autor. Aboga por un cine que transgreda lo convencional, apela por un cine que esté libre de fórmulas y convencionalismos. Cree en el cine como documento de la vida, en el cine transgresor.
En sus trabajos, tanto de cine como de fotografía, busca crear con libertad, dejando a un lado los convencionalismos, y parámetros que impone lo comercial.
Su trabajo fotográfico se enfoca más a lo documental, creando series que muestran una actitud contemplativa frente al espacio y al habitar de esos espacios.
Es egresada del pregrado de Comunicación Social y Periodismo de la Universidad de Antioquia, graduada en el año 2007 y Magíster en Artes Plásticas y Visuales de la Universidad Nacional, del año 2014.
Desde el 2005 trabaja en el área audiovisual. En el 2010 fue becada por IBERMEDIA para cursar los talleres de Fotografía Cinematográfica y Montaje Cinematográfico, a través de la CECAN y la EICTV, en Tenerife España.
En el 2011, crea junto al realizador y escritor Santiago Andrés Gómez, Ojo Mágico Productora Audiovisual; productora con la cual han realizado diversos trabajos de documental, experimental, y ficción.
En el 2013 fue seleccionada para el taller de Cine con Abbas Kiarostami, en Murcia – España.
A partir del año 2014 es la curadora y directora de la Muestra Internacional de videoarte y cine experimental INTERMEDIACIONES: www.intermediaciones.org
Cinephile and visual creator. From an early age, she falls in love with the cinema, devouring films in theaters and cine-clubs. She has been trained as a filmmaker through courses, workshops and certified courses. Lover of auteur cinema. Advocates for a cinema that transgresses the conventional, appeals for a cinema that is free of formulas and sterotypes. She believes in cinema as a document of life, in transgressive cinema, in cinema that allows to be created freely.
In his work, both in film and photography, he seeks to create with freedom, leaving aside the conventions and parameters imposed by the commercial.
His photographic work focuses more on the documentary, creating series that show a contemplative attitude towards space and how it is inhabited.
Graduated from the undergraduate program in Social Communication and Journalism at Universidad de Antioquia in 2007. Master’s degree in Plastic and Visual Arts from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, 2014.
Since 2005 she works in the audiovisual area. In 2010, she was awarded a scholarship by IBERMEDIA to attend the Cinematographic Photography and Cinematographic Montage workshops, through the CECAN and the EICTV, in Tenerife, Spain.
In 2011, together with the director and writer Santiago Andrés Gómez, he created Ojo Mágico Productora Audiovisual; a production company with which they have produced various documentary, experimental and fiction works.
